Color Talk II: Coral is the New Orange

Dear Friends,
I am enamored with spring colors. They are speaking to me! Spa blue with green, coral with pink, and yellow are my favorites this year. I'm also loving Kristin Ford jewelry. May I show you a second installment of her creations? Yesterday I featured spa blue. Today the group encompasses the coral, pink and yellow collection at Renee's.

Above rose sapphire (forgiveness), mandarin garnet (love), pink topaz (love, success), and carnelian (energizer) earrings.

Word on the fashion street is that coral is a hot color for summer. Coral is a softer version of orange. Did you know coral can be worn by most people regardless of skin tone?

Above rose sapphire and ruby. Each of the small seed stones are faceted to facilitate sparkle!

Coral is considered to be among the most universally flattering colors for any skin tone. A shade that occurs naturally as an undertone in every skin tone, it's no mystery why it sets off any complexion in a flattering way.

Sweetness and delicacy abound in Kristin's jewelry. Pink topaz with peridot (health) and amethyst (peace); rose sapphire triple drop earrings; carnelian and square peridot earrings.

A combo of pink and orange, finding your coral shade is just a matter of finding where you fall on the spectrum.

What a sweet pink set (above left)! These would make a great present of love for Mother's Day. The set on the right consists of Keishi pearl (love, beauty), vessuvianite (prosperity), and citrine (hope).

Citrine, padparadsha sapphire, and hessonite are on the left, middle is citrine, champagne garnet, and sapphire; and on the right is citrine and champagne quartz. I like the faceted teardrop shape on the middle pair of earrings, and the faceted square on the right.

Are these jewels moving you? The attention to detail wows me. On the right, the double strand necklace is a new design for Kristin. Again, she unexpectedly combines carnelian, pink sapphire and pink topaz.

This spring, try adding some coral to your wardrobe. It's feminine! Wear coral clothing or use it as an accent to update your wardrobe. Scarves, jewelry or even shoes can introduce the color to your wardrobe.

Corals and oranges are popular at Renee's this spring.

Do you integrate coral in your warm-weather arsenal? What’s your favorite way to wear it?

Thank you for following along! Marlene and I wish you and your family a very happy Easter!

With love,

Renee
