Thinking Outside the Loops: Before and After Photos

"After."

Dear Friends,

Accessorizing with a belt can flatter your figure, keep things in place, and add polish to any outfit. Here are a few before-and-after photos that demonstrate the power of adding a belt to an outfit.

"Before."

In a recent post, I recommended Suzi Roher belts. We received stunning new additions to our collection at Renee's yesterday.

Before.

After.

Suzi's belts, made in Toronto, Canada, incorporate elastic on every style, creating versatility, adjustability, and comfort.

Before.

After.

Before.

Hip hugging belts do wonders for tunics, casual shift dresses, trendy low-rise jeans, and boho skirts.

After.

These belts can be worn on the waist or pulled down to the hip. They fit all body shapes.

Julie is modeling a new line called "Chalet."

Chalet dress, leggings, reversible vest, and Suzi Roher belt.

Belts add a ring of color and a finishing touch of flair and personality to complete a look. Here are some close-ups of our most recent additions.

Anthracite leather and stretch fabric is mixed with black nickel hardware on this belt.
Suzi herself called this the "mouse to house" belt because it is expandable.

Hammered antique gold metal paired with Italian
gold washed lamb leather makes this a stunning belt.

This textured brown elephant leather, paired with black
nickel hardware, just gets more beautiful over time.

With anthracite leather and stretch fabric between the
hardware, this belt sits flat on the body.

Adjustable, expandable parachute belt with classic silver hook and hardware.

Our cleanest belt is comprised of black leather, stretch fabric, and a big square pewter buckle.

Accessorizing with a belt can make a big difference in your look. Come on in and experiment. Project radiant confidence just by adding a Suzi Roher belt to your outfit.

With love,

Renee

New York Diary: A Photo Retrospect

Green was the "it" color.

Did you wear green this year?

Would you wear green next spring?

How 'bout to a wedding. Would you wear green there?

The reps were already wearing green.

Even the guys were wearing green.
Here are some green stripes with blue print pants and an orange bag on the subway.

Green. It's not just for clothing anymore.

Green purses.

More green accessories.

Of all the green I saw, I liked this top.
Hotel lobby. Oops, the photographer got his finger in the photo...

Helpful hotel people.

My bus stop at 34th and 7th.

Here's what to do with jeans that are too long. Tuck them under your heels (or into your boots).

Calzone and sauce at my favorite hole-in-the-wall restaurant in Times Square.
Half-eaten Greek salad at the same place.

Even in New York people wait on line for the new iPhone.

Here is my dining room table "before."

Here is my dining room table yesterday.

Kitchen island before.

Kitchen island now. Each pile is a different line.

It was so nice to go to New York; I am so HaPpY to be home! I've missed you. Stop by and see me at the store tomorrow, Thursday or Saturday!!! I look forward to catching up.

Lots of love,
Renee

Last Day is the Best Day! NYC Market Trip

Take a look at this stunning line called Minnie Rose! It ranks right near the top of everything I saw this trip.

Does this sequin shawl (above) look familiar? Renee's stocked it in navy this spring; it was soft, lightweight and beautiful.

The model in these photos was even in the booth. Not only was she gorgeous; she was also friendly.

Minnie Rose is located in the heart of New York City’s fashion district. Lisa Shaller-Goldberg launched it in 2006. She has an impeccable eye for what today’s women want to wear.

Minnie Rose quickly became known for its signature cashmere duster and shawls.

I was also excited to find these super-cute, sparkly, light-weight and comfortable shoes!

Black Halo dresses were eye-catching. Here the model is wearing a tropical baroque print, in keeping with trends for the season.

A breezy chiffon dress, also by Black Halo, in red.

I was overwhelmed just peering into this booth (below). This stuff looks like a time drain waiting to happen. Their display theme corresponded perfectly with their name, Gypsy Junkies.

One of the best things about New York is the food. Zabar's, a famous deli, is located just around the corner from my hotel on Broadway near the subway stop.

Of course I had to go in and get something to take on the plane ride home. The choicess were almost as overwhelming as the clothing market!

Although I didn't have much time to spend looking for good restaurants on this trip, there were plenty of great choices all around the hotel, especially on Amsterdam and Central Park West.

At the airport I had to recharge my phone and rearrange my suitcase for the ride home. This was the only place I found an outlet. Some guy walked by and asked if I was doing homework or business. I guess I looked like a student sitting on the floor at the airport. When I told him it was business, he asked if my customers know I go to great lengths for them (you). I told him you already know. But I let him take the photo anyway.

Thanks for going along with me on this market trip. Shopping for you is a big responsibility that I take seriously.

My blank page for Spring 2013 is now full. The white spaces have disappeared, and in their place are lovely clothing, accessory, and jewelry lines we found together in New York! I can't wait for you to see them in person.

I will post a wrap-up entry tomorrow. Until then, have a lovely September day, my friends.

Sending love,
Renee
