Your Spring Break Starts Here

Dear Friends,

How's this for a Spring Break? Tomorrow, Tues., March 25 through Sat., March 29, take 20% off all Spring Eileen Fisher. That's right. Get a break on any current Eileen Fisher items.

What's the catch? Help me spread the word about Renee's. Can you believe that many potential Renee's shoppers don't know about Renee's? That's right, even though Renee's has been in the heart of downtown Everett for twenty years (twenty years!!) people still wander with a stunned look on their face and ask, "How long have you been here?"

Help me stop that from happening. Everett has a lot to offer. There are some first-class shops and restaurants in town, and our streets are very inviting. I mean, FREE parking? Where else can you park on the street for free? Not downtown Bellingham. Not downtown Seattle. But Everett? YES! And what a lovely community we have. Great parks, beautiful public artwork, unique summer concerts, even pianos on the street in August, painted by our own local artists. I'm telling you, sometimes I think we don't toot our own horn enough.

Did you know every August Everett has pianos on our streets for the public to play?

More people shopping at Renee's means I can get more merchandise for you to choose from. More people shopping downtown will keep the beautiful retail establishments (truly, gems) we are so lucky to have in Everett in business.

So help me get a grass roots effort going. Please tell your friends about Renee's. Simply share this post. Forward it to a friend. Share it on your Facebook page. Heck, send it to your entire contact list. Tell 'em how lucky we are to have a cute and thriving downtown. Show 'em what we got, ladies!

Then come in and let us know you passed the word on. For following along, and for your help, I thank you. From the bottom of my heart.

Sending springtime love,

Renee

You Are In For a Treat!

Linen skirt with frayed bottom detail.

Dear Friends,
Today when Ivan Grundahl's spring collection arrived, I swooned. Not really, but my heart did skip a beat, and I probably looked like a Cheshire cat with the big grin on my face. I dug right into the box.

I felt like a museum curator as I hung each garment with care, examining the details on every piece. I dressed the mannequins down to the shoes and accessories, and I displayed these beautiful pieces of artwork in fashion.

Sweater, blouse and skirt detail.

Ivan Grundahl has developed a reputation as a designer of the avant-garde. Based in Copenhagen, Denmark, he fuses asymmetrical lines, uneven silhouettes, and the clean-cut architectural shapes of Scandinavia in his clothing.

Ivan Grundahl's unique mix of patterns, fabrics, trims and knits makes this line remarkable.

Although some of his designs are extreme, he has pieces real people like us could wear. Isn't it fun to think about adding a little drama to your wardrobe?

Take a chance on Ivan Grundahl. At least come in and take a good look at it. Appreciate it like you would enjoy a fine piece of artwork or an expensive bottle of wine. Ivan Grundahl is an out-of-the-ordinary designer, and having access to his designs in Everett at Renee's is a real treat.

We look forward to your visit.

With love,

Renee

And now, speaking of clothing you love to wear, take a look at this cotton snap front tunic by Barbara Lesser (above). Comfortable, flattering, and easy care, pair it with leggings or skinny jeans. An inset drawstring cinches the back. In store now, the entire collection is available in a bright blue and a pristine white.

Lucy hoodie

Dump the frump. Lucy's Sweat Half zip has princess seams for shaping, while still being comfy and loose fitting. I like the thumb holes on the sleeves.

Lucy capri leggings and tee

With leggings and tops to match, you'll be stylin' whether your are working out or going to the grocery store.

Tees by Tina has been a staple at Renee's since 2012. Tina is constantly innovative with her offerings, and this spring is no exception.

Welcome the crinkle tank dress! Texture is the way Tees by Tina fabric slenderizes the body, helping conceal lumps and bumps. Our goal? To flatter your figure!

Pair the dress (above) on the left with leggings and a jacket. The Diamont tank (middle) is at Renee's in this rich coral color and a bright blue like the dress. And the Wave top (right) in white can take you anywhere this summer. Whatever your mood, whatever your style, wear Tees by Tina as a standalone, for layering, or for workout. Tina will have you looking chic and feeling comfortable.

Finally, dear friends, by now you know we are having a huge sale. Wow, what an awesome week we've had. Thank you to everyone who came to see us. I think you are liking all the new spring color, and, of course, the sale items!

Next week we are having a spring cleaning party! All remaining sale items will be further reduced to 70% off! We need to make room for all the new arrivals.

As a loyal reader, you can take advantage of this NOW. (I just love rewarding you for reading all the way to the bottom of my note.) Just mention it to get the additional 20% off. We'll make good on this offer for your friends, too, if they become a subscriber.

Only the Good Stuff. Promise!

Dear Friends,

Three days in a row. Don't leave me now. I'm only sending you the good stuff! I'll try not to make another appearance in your email inbox for a few days. Except for our sale announcement (see below)!

Are you in the mood for spring? It IS March, after all. Then comes Easter. And next, Mother's Day, and... before you know it, the you-know-whats will be here again. See, isn't it better to focus on spring?

Friends, you just can't seem to get enough scarves. Because scarves are an inexpensive way to perk up your wardrobe, and with many priced at $28 and under, I can understand. So I've hand chosen a whole new batch of lightweight, colorful scarves with you in mind.

Asian Eye brand is like an Eveready Battery. It just keeps going and going. Just when you think they can't outdo themselves, a delightful fresh selection shows up at our door. This spring you'll also find Tickled Pink scarves (now in), Pistil (great quality accessories, including belts and hats, coming soon), and more. Suzi Roher doesn't quit either, with new exquisite and irresistible belts. And a whole mess'o tinkly, bright jewelry from Treska adorns our front counter.

Don't skip the end of this post; we are having a huge sale. The public announcement goes out tomorrow. But you, my loyal blog readers, can start now! Fifty percent and more off all remaining winter things. And there's a whole lot'o loot left in here. Some things just need to go, and I've marked them down to $9.99. It's almost embarrassing. But we gotta make space. Get in here!

Why is a Jill McGowan blouse truly different?

Design. The company is designer-owned. Based in Portland, Maine, Jill offers full, fitted or relaxed silhouettes in multiple fabrics. She also offers fresh clean silhouettes that endure fashion whims.

Jill McGowan "Astrid" blouse
Construction. Tailoring is based on the principle that women's shirts should last and last. The shirts are made in the USA, one shirt at a time, with single needle tailoring, French seams (eliminates fraying), and woven interlining (unlike fused interlining, woven interlining will last the lifetime of the shirt)
.

"Astrid" is my favorite Jill McGowan style. The three-piece back fits better than the other styles. With a length short enough for the blouse to double as a jacket, you just can't go wrong with this blouse.

In stock at Renee's in the lemon cotton chambray (above right) and blue cotton chambray (above left), if those aren't your colors we can special order your favorite. Are you as into yellow this season as I am? I love all the buttery colors I've been seeing.

Lemon cotton chambray shirt in stock.

Blue cotton chambray blouse detail, in stock.

JudyP was created because the designer and owner needed a “go to” top. You know, the one you pull out of your closet, put on, and know you will look good all day long. It has to be versatile, but most important...it has to make you look and feel great!

V-neck 3/4 sleeve, blush color in stock

double front, calypso color in stock

V-front and high back, daffodil color in stock

92% microfiber / 8% spandex, Fandango color in stock

With over 36 colors to choose from, you are sure to find a few favorites.

Sale announcement will go public tomorrow. But the sale starts now for you loyal blog readers and your friends.

Finally, dear friends, yup, a selfie. This is what I look like when I'm writing to you from my office. Thank you for following along!!!

Sending love,
